Yesterday’s Machine is the debut release from King Britt’s Saturn Never Sleeps project, his collaboration with singer/artist Rucyl. The blurb from the label describes it as well as I could:

This is a fun little video taken from the WorldWide Awards ceremony. Evidently Flying Lotus’ Cosmogramma won Album of the Year. This conversation happened backstage where Gilles Peterson and Thom Yorke talk to FlyLo about his award and how environment affects how you response to music. They discuss dubstep artist Burial in particular. I think it’s true that certain sounds or certain types of music make sense in particular environments more than others – what do you think? Saturn Never Sleeps is an audio/visual collaboration between King Britt and Rucyl Mills that involves  producing progressive, genre-bending and experimental music and events. Their live shows have included forward-thinking musicians such as Taylor McFerrin, Sarah White, Flying Lotus and others in the business of future music.
